We are looking for customer service driven individuals who take great pride in what they do and have a great work ethos. We currently have a number of vacancies as we approach the busy Festive season. Whether your skillset is Front of House or in the Kitchen, take a look at the positions below. 

assistant manager

Hours: 40-45 

Shift Patterns: Mixture of days, evenings and weekends 

Pay Scale: £27,100 per annum + Tips + performance related bonus (OTE of £40k p/a)

Annual Leave: 30 days

Description: 

Since we opened on the 8th May, a lot of hard work, love and care has gone into The Bridge & Barrel and we have successfully turned around a closed bar into an exciting, friendly bar which is a talking point, a locals favourite and a place with something a little different on offer each day.

​

We don’t want to stop there, we want to keep growing our amazing venue and enhance the experience to all our genuinely valued regulars and visitors. With huge plans for Christmas such as our brand new kitchen and themed festive events!

​

We are therefore recruiting an Assistant Manager to join our team. Working around 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends. We don’t just want another bar team member, we need somebody with the drive to push the business forward, somebody who is business focused, events focussed, lives and breaths hospitality, using every minute they’re working to enhance the guest experience, our image, the presentation,

 

We want somebody who is obsessed with detail and standards.

 

If you’re looking for a full time job where you can stand around on Snapchat when it’s quiet or be title obsessed then this role is absolutely not for you, “quiet” times is opportunity to push the business to the next level.

​

You will be the second in command and need to steer the ship when the captain isn’t at the helm.

​

Experience to supervisor or managerial level is essential. Proven track record in achieving results essential. leadership and organisational skills a must.

​

You will have a flare for events and have ideas on how to generate private bookings and plan in events ahead of time. Daily financial experience (cashing up etc) is also preferred

​

Hospitality experience is essential. Personal licence preferred but not essential.

p/t front of house

Hours: 16-25 

Shift Patterns: Mixture of days, evenings and weekends 

Pay Scale: Depending on age & experience + Tips 

Annual Leave: 28 days (pro rata basis)

Description: 

As we approach the festive season, we are looking for reliable bar and front of house team members. You will have some hospitality experience in either a pub/bar/restaurant. Be confident, organised and presentable. 

 

The role requires you to provide a warm welcome to our customers, serve food and drinks, help at regular private hire events, clean throughout the day and on the close of the  shift. 

 

You will have a flare for great service and standards and be committed to doing a great job 

​

The role requires evening and weekend work, so we only welcome applications from those who have this type of availability.

We are ideally looking to recruit local people, or those with their own transport due to poor transport in the area on nights we close late. 

as 

chef de partie

Hours: 20-30

Shift Patterns: Primarily evenings and weekends 

Pay Scale: £12-£13 per hour + Tips 

Annual Leave: 30 days

Description: 

As we prepare to open our bigger kitchen, ahead of the Festive Season, we are recruiting a part time CDP to join our team. You will have experience at a similar level of cook/chef or have the drive to develop your skills if your experience level is less. 

​

You will be working under the Head Chef, Sous and Commis Chef and be assisting in prep and service. Maintaining high standards in all that you do.

kitchen porter (kp)

Hours: 10-20 

Shift Patterns: Evenings / Weekends  

Pay Scale: NMW 

Annual Leave: 28 days (pro rata basis)

Description: 

Want to get in to the Hospitality sector but perhaps you are young and inexperienced? Working as a Kitchen Porter gives you the opportunity to see professional Chefs at work, creating beautiful dishes and  developing the menu constantly. 

​

As a kitchen porter you are responsible for ensuring that the Chefs have a constant supply of clean pans, cutlery and crockery and managing your KP station in an organised fashion. You can learn some basic chef skills by helping the team with prep during service. 

​

We are keen to welcome a KP aged above 14 

​
